ABSTRACT
Nigerian fourth republic has been marred with varying forms of electoral violence and since inception has been a reoccurring phenomenon. Tis research is focused on the causes of electoral violence in Nigeria especially the fourth republic, reason why it persists and how these menace can be curbed from the Nigerian electoral system.
