TRACE ELEMENT CONCENTRATION IN LIQUIFIED COOKING GAS ATTENDANT

CHAPTER ONE

INTRODUCTION

  1. Background of the study

Detection and measurement of trace metals in natural gas (methane) is provided by Intertek hydrocarbons testing laboratories on a global basis. Testing for trace metal content in natural gas streams and LNG can reach parts per million (ppm) levels and lower.

Natural gas trace metals analysis methods include ASTM, NIOSH, ISO, and other accepted industry standards. Testing is conducted by trained chemists using state-of-the-art equipment, including Gas Chromatography, ICP, ICP-MS, and GC-ICP-MS.

Sampling and shipping natural gas samples to the labs can be easily and professionally arranged to ensure sample integrity and prompt, rapid, testing and reporting.

Trace metals detection and analysis in natural gas includes:

    Arsenic

    Barium

    Calcium

    Copper

    Iron

    Lead

    Magnesium

Natural Gas Sampling and Analysis for Mercury

    Phosphorous

    Potassium

    Sodium

    Zinc

    and other trace metals
