- Background of the study
Change of course in Nigeria universities is a bane. Many if not most students in Nigeria universities are studying courses, not of their choice, many are forced to change courses so as to increase the possibility of them getting admission to certain departments due to the high competition for the departments of their choice. In most cases the desire to change course is spurred by their feeling that more persons scored higher than them.
Other students gets in, gets a high grade point and then try to change into their desired departments
Change of course is hampered of troubled by poor systemized processes in Nigeria universities. The high level of bureaucracies, coupled with less use o technologies, things done mostly manually makes the processes of paper transfers from one department to the other very hectic on the part of the student.
