Abstract:
This study investigates the prevalence of Hepatitis B among adult patients attending the Pedong Maternal and Child Health Clinic in Namu, Qua’an Pan Local Government Area, Plateau State. Hepatitis B is a significant public health concern globally, and understanding its prevalence at the local level is crucial for informed public health interventions.
A cross-sectional study design will be employed, involving the collection of demographic and clinical data from adult patients attending the Maternal and Child Health Clinic. Blood samples will be obtained and tested for Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) using standard diagnostic methods. The prevalence rate will be determined, and potential risk factors associated with Hepatitis B transmission will be analyzed.
