ASSESSMENT OF E-LEARNING EFFECT ON EARLY YEARS LEARNERS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS DURING LOCK-DOWN IN NIGERIA
ABSTRACT
This work gives an assessment of e-learning effect on early years learners in primary schools during lock-down in nigeria.
A hundred and twenty questionnaires were distributed among pupils and teachers from selected primary schools in Nigeria. Interviews and surveys were also conducted.
Primary and secondary data will be used in the analysis. Tables and percentages will also be used as the instrument of analysis
It will be observed therefore that e-learning have a strong and significant positive impact on early years learners in primary schools, it has already introduced a consciousness of use of technology in teaching and learning among them causing them to embrace the new method, and this is expected to have a long-term positive significant impact on their educational development.
E-learning promotes better communication and helps teachers and students
to share accountability for learning and achievements. The study shows that most students agreed that e-learning help students to have access to unlimited source of information; reveals connection between subjects; promotes critical thinking; and encourages students’ way of learning.
There is a strong positive relationship between the dynamic nature of e-learning and learning among early years learners in primary schools
