EFFECT OF FERTILIZER MANURE AND NPK FERTILIZER ON THE GROWTH AND YIELD OF OKRA
Abstract:
This research investigates the influence of fertilizer manure and NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium) fertilizer on the growth and yield of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus). Okra is a vital cash crop with significant economic importance in many regions, and optimizing its growth and yield is crucial for sustainable agricultural practices. The study employs a randomized complete block design, with various treatments including organic fertilizer manure and synthetic NPK fertilizer.
The experiment is conducted over a specified duration, with key parameters such as plant height, leaf area, flowering, and fruiting patterns being closely monitored. Additionally, soil nutrient levels are analyzed to understand the impact of each fertilizer type on soil fertility. The study aims to provide insights into the comparative effectiveness of organic and synthetic fertilizers on the growth and yield of okra.
Preliminary findings suggest variations in growth patterns and yield outcomes based on the type of fertilizer used. The organic fertilizer manure demonstrates potential benefits in promoting sustainable soil health, while the synthetic NPK fertilizer may exhibit rapid nutrient availability. By the conclusion of the study, a comprehensive understanding of the effects of these fertilizers on okra growth and yield will be established. The research outcomes will contribute to informed agricultural practices, promoting eco-friendly and economically viable approaches to enhance okra production.
