STRATEGIC INTELLIGENCE AND FOOD SECURITY IN NORTH CENTRAL NIGERIA
Abstract:
Ensuring food security is a critical imperative for sustainable development, particularly in regions susceptible to socio-economic, environmental, and geopolitical challenges. This abstract delves into the nexus between strategic intelligence and food security within the context of North Central Nigeria, a region characterized by its agricultural significance and recurrent communal conflicts. By employing a multidisciplinary approach, this study examines the role of strategic intelligence in mitigating food insecurity risks and fostering resilience in the face of evolving threats. Drawing from existing literature, empirical data, and expert insights, it analyzes the dynamics of agricultural production, distribution networks, and market vulnerabilities, intertwined with socio-political factors and climatic variability. Furthermore, the abstract highlights the importance of intelligence-driven decision-making processes, early warning systems, and collaborative frameworks involving government agencies, local communities, and international stakeholders. Through strategic intelligence initiatives, such as satellite imagery analysis, socio-economic profiling, and risk assessment models, this research aims to enhance adaptive capacities, optimize resource allocation, and formulate targeted interventions to bolster food security in North Central Nigeria. Ultimately, this abstract underscores the significance of integrating intelligence methodologies into food security strategies to address systemic challenges and promote sustainable development agendas in vulnerable regions.
