Abstract

The paper analyses Nigeria educational system as the springboard towards innovation in school curriculum and recommend urgent future direction having observed inherent weakness and failure of Nigeria system. The proposed direction is applicable to any society in the world. Strategies for selecting curriculum activities and school subjects for primary and secondary education as contained in National Policy on Education were highlighted. “Cognolgy” is propose as option for technology, cognitive and personality development of learners and subsequently, the society as a whole.
